Qingdao DIC Finechemicals Co., Ltd. (QDIC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dainippon Ink and Chemicals, Inc. (DIC) engaging mainly in research and development of fine chemicals.
QDIC was established in Mar. 1996 with an area of 60,000 square meters. The company has developed steadily since its establishment and up to now the total investment has reached up to 20 million in USD. QDIC engages in R&D of fine chemicals and it main R&D fields include synthesis of organic compounds, polymers and their related products, engineering plastics and functional composite materials. Every year, QDIC accepts tens of trusted R&D projects. Most of the outcomes reach the world-class level and some have been put into production.
There are more than 130 excellent employees in the company, 70 per cent of whom are with degrees above B.S. QDIC pays great attention to the training of its employees, it often invites well-known experts from home and abroad to give lectures. And we send the researchers periodically  to Japan for study, in the way, the company has gradually build up a high level researching team.
There are more than 100 large-scale analytical instruments installed in the company's laboratories, such as NMR, LC/MS. Multifunctional plants and mini production factory make QDIC become an integrated R&D center from "small scale production", "pilot" to "commercial production".

Because of its high-speed development and effective R&D achievements, QDIC has gained the "Hi-Tech Industrial Enterprise". Its Analytical center had passed the accreditation of "CNAL"(China National Accreditation Board for laboratories). Mr. H. Maeda, the first board chairman of QDIC, had been awarded the "Friendship Award" by the CNC.
